wanting to be a girl in a garage

every couple weeks i can't stop listening to girls in the garage compilations (thanks, shawn!).

i'm in it right now. it makes me want to front a 60s-inspired garage band. you should hear me in the shower. i'm unstoppable. if you are in the chicago area and wanna do this, let's do it. i will buy mod dresses. i already have some hot boots -- not my merrells, either. actual hot boots. and i can sing, i swear.

researching juggalos

the more i learn about juggalo culture, the more i am amazed. chuck d is a juggalo? murs? vanilla ice, i'm not so surprised by.

it all started when shawn and jeff told me about this video:



now i keep sizing people up on the train, trying to determine if they might be down with the clown.

there's a lot of illinoisan juggalo activity. gathering of the juggalos takes place here, that girl from the juggalo baby funeral video is from chicago, it goes on and on. i'm in the promise land.

this one is about those things that you're (i'm) totally obsessed with but only for a fleeting time. like a song you're runnin' a deep groove into on your ipod or a book you can't stop thinking about or a recurring dream or whatever.

so the first post is obvious. i can't stop blogging. don't wanna.

my hope for this blog, as with all my blogs, is for it to be a communal space to share things we're totally digging on. it's good to share the love with those you love. or those you don't know. or me. whatever.
